Sustainability has been at the heart of Reed since the company was founded by Sir Alec Reed in 1960. The Reed Foundation is the biggest shareholder of the Reed Group, owning 18% of the business, meaning that Reed has been a philanthropy company or 'PhilCo' since 1985. We’re committed to using our position to have a positive impact on society, from helping people into sustainable work and building skills, to supporting communities and championing vital environmental causes.
