Tutors

Following the disruption schools have faced, we are very proud to be an approved National Tutoring Programme (NTP) provider. The NTP has been established to support disadvantaged students who need to catch up following pandemic disruption and we want to work with you to make a tangible difference.

Why sign up as a NTP Tutor with Reed?
  • You have the option to provide different types of tutor access – through our face to face or online tutor recruitment

  • We offer you a flexible working pattern - each tuition block is for 15 hours - providing both you and your students with continuity. You can take on multiple blocks at a time depending on your availability for work

  • You can work based on your specialism – the core areas are:

- Primary tutoring jobs: literacy, numeracy and science
- Secondary and GSCE tutor jobs: English, maths, science, humanities and modern foreign languages
- SEND tutor jobs: working with students with additional needs or looked-after children

As part of our supply teaching service, we offer flexible working options for jobs in education that suit your lifestyle and family commitments, giving you the perfect balance.

When working with us in temporary, supply, or cover teacher roles, you are given access to our bespoke work management system JoinedUp. At the touch of a button, you can set your availability, find roles and keep track of your timesheets.

As well as operating office hours between 7am and 6pm, as a supply teaching agency, we offer an out-of-hours service which means our team is always available to answer your questions and help.

SEND

Reed’s SEND recruitment team works with talented education professionals looking to secure SEND jobs working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Our SEND recruiters receive continuous training to ensure they stay abreast of the latest developments in the sector, meaning they are fully versed with this critical aspect of education to help you gain a job in SEN schools.

This expertise allows our team to understand the complexity and varying requirements for different SEND positions, meaning they will only recommend SEND teacher jobs – as well as SEND teaching assistants and special needs teaching assistants – which fit your skills and experience.

Reed has formal contracts with over 1,000 schools across the country, presenting you with unrivalled choice for your next career move.

Our contracts cover a broad scope of settings, ranging from six schools with Summit Learning through to 550 schools across Hampshire, and running three managed services in London across Bexley, Ealing and Tower Hamlets.

We have operated a contract with the Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) since 2002, and can offer a variety of jobs in the education sector as a result of our relationship.

As well as classroom jobs, these contracts encompass everything from tutoring and intervention positions through to technical and supervisory roles, so we can find your ideal role whatever your career path.
