Daff Richardson, Partner, Penningtons Manches Cooper
Daff is a Partner in the firm’s employment team and co-leads the education and charities sector group. Her practice focuses mainly on tech and education sector clients, to whom she gives strategic advice on developing areas of employment law, as well as handling sensitive individual and collective employee relations situations, including advising on obligations under the Equality Act, re-organisations and restructuring, and senior executive appointments and departures.
Daff also advises clients on data protection questions including complex data subject access requests, data breaches and general compliance with data protection legislation.
She is recognised as a leader in her field in the legal directories where clients have praised her approach to their work. Chambers and Partners note that, “she is extremely personable, very relaxed which in turn relaxes the client, and has a great deal of gravitas, building confidence in what you are trying to do”. She is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Victoria Spires, Senior Associate, Penningtons Manches Cooper
Victoria is a Senior Associate in the employment team in Oxford. She advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law.
With particular expertise in acting for clients in the education, transport, technology and hospitality sectors, Victoria understands the regulatory constraints and reputational concerns which apply to them. She is experienced in defending complex discrimination claims for both employers and service providers.
Victoria is ranked in Chambers and Partners and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. She regularly presents at training sessions on a variety of topics including handling workplace investigations, responding to employment tribunal claims and managing bullying and harassment cases.
