Meet the speakers

Katherine Maxwell, Partner – Employment, Moore Barlow

Katherine is a Partner and head of the firm’s employment law team based in Richmond and Southampton. She advises clients on all aspects of employment law.

Her clients range from large corporates to small companies, also advising individuals including senior executives, directors and senior managers.

Katherine, and the employment team, are always on hand to advise on difficult situations involving individual employees, including drafting and negotiating termination packages. Should these cases proceed to tribunal, clients know that they have the backing of one of the most formidable legal teams in the region.

She helps ensure that clients are compliant with ever-changing employment regulations, helping them implement the right procedures and policies and make sure they are meeting their employer responsibilities.

Katherine also advise individuals who are facing issues relating to their employment contracts, restrictive covenants or redundancy. She advises them on boardroom disputes and provides assistance negotiating exit packages or settlement agreements. providing clients with clear and practical advice tailored to their situation and advising on the best course of action for them.

Victoria Furlong, Associate – Employment, Moore Barlow

Victoria is an Associate in the Southampton office, specialising in employment law.

She advises employers and employees on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law, with a keen interest in discrimination cases.

For employees, Victoria advises on contract terms, drafts grievances, negotiates exits, and supports employees in bringing claims through the employment tribunal.

She supports employers by drafting their contracts, policies and handbooks. When things become contentious, Victoria advises on grievance or disciplinary procedures, and responds to tribunal claims.
