Gavin Moorghen, Regional Engagement Lead, Social Work England 

Gavin is a Regional Engagement Lead for Social Work England. He has practised in both adult and children’s social work in a number of areas including substance misuse, pre-birth work, disasters and court work, and has worked on a number of initiatives to improve social work nationally.   

Gavin is committed to improving standards in social work having done so in practice, developmental, and senior roles for local and national social work organisations. A keen advocate of the social work profession, Gavin has regularly spoken on behalf of the social work profession at national events, on podcasts, and in the national media.
