In response to the coronavirus, Reed Screening will process DBS checks and fast-track emergency checks of the adults’ and children’s barred lists free-of-charge.

To contribute to the front-line fight against coronavirus Reed Screening is offering its fast-track emergency and DBS checks to key workers free-of-charge, getting key workers into roles within hours rather than days.

The employment screening wing of the Reed Group, which processes more than 350,000 background checks a year, has offered its services to get key workers the necessary safety checks faster during the COVID-19 crisis.

This includes, where needed, the 500,000 people that have already signed up to be NHS volunteers.

Reed Screening’s help will mean that full, safe checks can be carried out at a faster rate than usual and key workers can get to the front-line where they are needed without risk.

“We consistently work alongside both the DBS and Disclosure Scotland, processing thousands of checks a year so we have the capacity to help with the high volume of key workers needed at this point. “ By offering this service to all key workers and those employing key workers we aim to lend the expertise we have in this specialist area to get much needed equipment and skills to those who need it. Many businesses are already doing their part, we believe that we have to use our skillsets to help the effort against the spread of coronavirus.
