Julia Gorska joined Reed in 2023 and has quickly established herself as a key contributor within the qualified social worker team.

Her journey began as a compliance officer before transitioning into the role of talent sourcing specialist, where she focused on identifying and engaging high-calibre professionals within the special educational needs (SEN) sector.

In January 2025, Julia was promoted to Practice Lead for SEN - a strategic position in which she leads the delivery of workforce solutions to local authorities facing SEN-related challenges.

In her role, Julia works closely with stakeholders to understand the unique needs of SEN departments and design agile, outcome-focused workforce strategies. This includes sourcing professionals to reduce backlogs in new assessments and annual reviews, writing and reviewing education, health and care plans (EHCPs), supporting tribunal preparation, and contributing to service design and transformation. These roles are critical in helping local authorities meet statutory obligations and deliver timely, effective support to children, young people, and families.

Since joining Reed, Julia has played an integral part in projects that have delivered measurable impact - clearing assessment backlogs, improving EHCP timeliness, and enhancing the overall experience for children, young people, and their families.

Julia finds her work deeply rewarding, knowing that the professionals she places directly improve services for children and families. She values Reed’s collaborative, forward-thinking culture and appreciates working alongside colleagues who share her passion for making a difference.

As Practice Lead, Julia thrives in environments where collaboration and innovation come together to solve real-world challenges in education and social care.
