This webinar, presented by Dr Kirstie Rees, explored ways of reducing anxiety in children and young people with learning difficulties (including pupils with SLD and PMLD).

It focused on understanding the factors that contribute to elevated anxiety levels and considered how we can adapt therapeutic approaches and tailor the environment to meet individual needs.

We also explored ways to support children with learning difficulties to develop coping strategies.

About our speaker

Dr Kirstie Rees, Child and Educational Psychologist

Dr Kirstie Rees is an educational psychologist specialising in learning difficulties and disabilities. She works with various organisations to support children with disabilities and their families, as well as to provide training and webinars for education staff and parents. Kirstie has carried out a range of research in this field and is the author of The Mental Health and Wellbeing of Children and Young People with Learning Difficulties: An Educator’s Guide, published by Jessica Kingsley.
