Join guest speaker Dr Shungu Hilda M'gadzah, author of ‘Six Stages Framework: Understanding and Dealing with Everyday Racism’, and our panel of senior and principal educational psychologists as they present the six stages framework (SSF) and how it applies to educational psychology.
About this event
In supporting individuals and organisations to understand and challenge racism, it’s important to explore and identify some of the beliefs, values and behaviours individuals and organisations engage in as they struggle to reformulate their views and challenge their own prejudices.
Drawing on evidence from psychology, social sciences, current affairs and lived experiences across cultures and the globe, the SSF focuses on broad and specific issues of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to support individuals and organisations in their fight against racism, with the aim of promoting a more equitable society, one that does not discriminate according to race, colour, appearance or other differences.
During this webinar, the team will explore how the SSF can be used by psychologists –and other professionals –in their work with schools and the community.
