Before becoming a Candidate Care Consultant in November 2022, Ashleigh started her career as a teacher, spending six years educating primary and secondary school children. When deciding to move on from teaching, Ashleigh wanted a role that still involved caring for others. She chose to work for Reed due to its reputation as a trusted company that offers room for progression and great benefits.

Ashleigh’s responsibilities at Reed include keeping in regular contact with qualified social workers once they’ve been placed into roles, providing valuable, efficient support and advice and supervision, while working to ensure their job satisfaction.

Candidates can contact Ashleigh with any questions or queries, whether they want to ask for a pay increase, book annual leave, request booking extensions, or start the process of finding a new role.

Ashleigh also looks after payroll each week, dealing with third party portals, umbrella companies and finance teams. She helps candidates meet payroll deadlines and ensures timesheets and expense claims process correctly. She handles candidate compliance, DBS applications and checks, and takes responsibility for her team’s compliance audits.

Ashleigh’s favourite part of the role is building professional relationships, getting to know people and being the first point of contact for our candidates.
