It’s fair to say that this April is going to be a little bit different from the norm…

The unprecedented lockdown has left many of us at home and with more time on our hands than ever before. And in addition to binge watching every single show ever released, there’s also never been a better time to study or try something new.

To ensure your time indoors is well spent, we’ve put together a list of seven of the best courses you can do from home this month:

Health and care courses

We’re sure you’ll agree, our healthcare workers are doing an incredible job right now, so why not join them?

Whether you’re hoping to work with children in the future, or you’ve just become increasingly aware of your responsibility as a caretaker now your children are at home full-time, the Paediatric First Aid course could be exactly what you need to take care of kids in need.

This course will teach you how to deal with a young casualty, covering everything from cuts and grazes to administering CPR. You’ll learn how to keep children calm in an emergency and how to protect them from illness – something which could give you more confidence in these uncertain times.

Alternatively, if you’re hoping to fast-track your career to becoming a nursing assistant, the intensive Nursing Assistant Diploma could be a great way to get started. The course is designed to teach students all the key points of health and safety in nursing in just a matter of months.

Perfect for: People who put health first.

What do I need? You don’t need any previous experience to take these courses, just a caring nature and an interest in healthcare.

How long will it last? Both courses are online and self-paced. The Paediatric First Aid course can be completed in just a few hours, whereas the Nursing Assistant Diploma is expected to take a few months.
