Role Purpose:
To deliver professional and efficient customer service while supporting sales activity within a fast-paced commercial environment. The role involves advising customers on products, pricing, availability, and lead times, while maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities to maximise sales.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
Providing product recommendations, pricing information, stock availability, and lead times
Preparing and issuing quotes to customers
Making outbound calls to existing customers to build relationships and generate repeat business
Managing incoming emails and prioritising workload effectively
Updating and maintaining accurate records on internal systems
Liaising with suppliers (UK, Europe, and overseas) to obtain product and pricing information
Coordinating with internal teams and external partners to resolve order queries or issues
Analysing customer data and spreadsheets to identify trends and future sales opportunities
Supporting colleagues and contributing as an integral part of the wider sales team
Specification:
Previous experience in an office-based role
Strong IT skills and administrative capabilities
Confident and professional telephone manner
Excellent written, numerical, and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
