Sheffield City Council are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to join their dynamic Hub Team. This role involves providing effective administration and business process support to both internal and external customers. Day-to-day of the role:
Carry out a wide range of administrative tasks including general printing, copying, and post duties.
Manage data input using Excel and specific IT systems used by our services.
Handle document management, both electronic and hard copy.
Support financial tasks such as ordering, processing payments, and reconciling payments.
Produce letters and email correspondence to customers.
Provide phone cover as required.
Support and contribute to Information Systems and office administration.
Assist in meetings and events, including note-taking and recording action points.
Purchase goods and services as needed.
Provide advice and information to enhance the effectiveness of the service area.
Engage in a culture of continuous improvement across the service.
Perform any other duties as required that fall within the scope and grade of the position.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Familiarity with computer systems and applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
Comfortable learning new systems.
Ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines, and follow standard operating procedures.
Flexibility to attend sites and provide business support to other teams within the Hub as needed.
