We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Medical Secretary to provide temporary support within a busy private medical practice in Windsor for a period of three weeks.starts11/9
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing patient enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Liaising with private hospitals regarding patient appointments, procedures and enquiries.
- Raising invoices for patients and insurance companies.
- Handling communications with insurance providers both online and over the phone.
- Using DGL software to manage patient records and administrative tasks.
- Receiving, processing and filing clinical results and correspondence, including scanning documents into the appropriate electronic folders.
- Booking clinics and theatre lists, and preparing schedules for consultant review.
- Working closely with the Consultant to address patient queries and concerns efficiently.
- Preparing and sending patient correspondence, including arranging letters for franking via the Princess Margaret Hospital.
- Chasing outstanding results and reports and ensuring they are uploaded to patient records.
- Liaising with private hospital radiology departments to arrange the transfer of imaging from other hospitals.
- Obtaining quotations from private hospitals for self-funding patients.

Requirements:
- Previous Medical Secretary experience is essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Experience working with private healthcare providers and insurance companies.
- Familiarity with DGL software would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
