Cove School is looking to appoint a confident, organised and proactive Cover Manager to oversee and coordinate daily cover arrangements across the school.

✨ The Role
As Cover Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school by:
Organising and managing daily staff cover across the school
Coordinating cover using ARBOR (MIS system) – full training provided
Supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students stay on task
Supporting behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
Managing a Cover Supervisor who reports into you
Preparing cover work and materials for external staff
Producing termly reports on cover requirements
Supporting room changes during exam periods
Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Supporting wider school duties such as break supervision and tutor group registration
✅ What We’re Looking For
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Confidence working with young people and managing behaviour
IT proficiency (experience with ARBOR or similar MIS is desirable but not essential)
👉 Previous school or youth work experience is helpful, but full training will be provided.
