Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Burnley - Immediate Start
📍 Location: Burnley
⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
💷 Pay Rate: £16.35 per hour
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📋 Contract: Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Burnley on a full-time basis.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to a Key Stage 2 pupil who is working at a Key Stage 1 academic level. The pupil has no behavioural concerns and simply requires additional support to access learning, develop confidence, and make progress within the classroom.
The Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- Supporting learning activities and adapting tasks to the pupil's individual needs.
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the pupil's development.
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback where required.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with additional needs is essential.
- Previous experience within a school or educational setting is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
