Music Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Music Technician to join our vibrant team at a leading educational institution in Southwest London. This temporary role offers a flexible schedule of 3 to 5 days per week, making it ideal for individuals who are passionate about music and have a strong background in music production and sound engineering.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Equipment Management: Set up and maintain music equipment, including audio systems, instruments, and recording devices.
- Event Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of music performances and events, ensuring technical needs are met.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support to students and staff during music classes, rehearsals, and live performances.
- Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot issues during audio and video recording sessions to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintenance: Ensure all music technology equipment is functioning correctly and safely, conducting regular checks and maintenance.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain the music technology inventory, keeping track of all equipment and supplies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Music Technician or in a similar role within a music-focused environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of music technology, including sound systems, mixing desks, and recording equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, capable of providing clear technical support to non-technical users.
