Aviation Sales Executive
Location: Surrey
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Sales Executive to join a growing aerospace and aviation supply chain business based in Surrey.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual with experience in aircraft parts sales, aviation sourcing, account management, and supplier engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer enquiries, generating quotations, sourcing aircraft components, and developing long-term relationships with airlines, MROs, aviation operators, and aerospace suppliers.
The role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment and has a strong understanding of aircraft component procurement, sales processes, and aviation supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming RFQs from airlines, MROs, operators and aviation-related businesses.
- Source aircraft components from approved suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations while maximising margins and conversion rates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing aviation customers.
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to delivery.
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive business development activities.
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Coordinate urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity and sales forecasts.
- Monitor sales performance against revenue and margin targets.
- Ensure all aviation documentation and traceability requirements are met.
- Support continuous improvement within sourcing and sales processes.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience within aviation sales, aircraft parts sales, aerospace distribution, or aviation procurement.
- Strong understanding of aircraft components and aviation supply chain processes.
- Experience managing customer accounts and supplier relationships.
- Proven ability to negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
- Strong quotation, order processing and sales administration experience.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- Experience handling AOG requirements.
- Knowledge of aviation marketplaces and sourcing platforms.
- Experience working with international suppliers and freight providers.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Understanding of aviation regulatory and traceability requirements.
