Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service? We’re looking for a Sales Coordinator to join a thriving and fast-paced business in Wigan, where you’ll play a key role in supporting sales operations and building strong customer relationships.

Our client is a long-established and reputable organisation operating within the construction sector. They work closely with a wide range of manufacturers and customers across the UK, supported by a network of regional branches.

The Wigan branch is a busy and successful site led by an experienced and supportive manager, offering a positive environment focused on teamwork and development.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and organised Sales Coordinator to join a fast-paced and collaborative team. This is a varied role where you will support sales operations, manage customer relationships, and ensure a high standard of service is delivered.

You will work alongside internal teams and technical colleagues, gaining valuable product knowledge and industry insight.

Benefits

  • Salary £25,000 - £28,000
  • Mon - Fri 08:00-17:00 with one hour lunch

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Provide customers with updates on deliveries and order progress
  • Handle returns and escalate product-related queries as needed
  • Re-engage lapsed customers to regain business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing customer spend and maximise sales
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service

Full training and ongoing support will be provided. The company has a strong track record of developing employees.

Role requirements

  • Experience in a telephone-based sales or customer service role
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
