📍 Abingdon, Oxfordshire 💷 £29,000 per annum (DOE) ⏰ Full-time | Permanent | 35 hours per week 🕘 Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Reed are partnering with a well-established and highly respected professional services organisation in Oxfordshire who are seeking a Reception Team Leader to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced receptionist or front-of-house professional looking to step into a leadership role within a busy, client-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a seamless reception service across multiple office locations while leading, developing and supporting a team of receptionists.

The Role

As Reception Team Leader, you will support the Office Manager in delivering an outstanding front-of-house experience for both clients and colleagues. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of reception services across three offices, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of reception functions across multiple office locations
  • Managing reception staffing levels, rotas, annual leave and sickness cover
  • Providing hands-on support and covering reception duties when required
  • Training and onboarding new reception team members
  • Monitoring and maintaining service standards across all reception areas
  • Conducting regular office checks across all sites
  • Supporting the Office Manager with performance management, appraisals and team development
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the client experience
  • Acting as a point of guidance and support for the reception teams

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and proactive individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Receptionist, Front of House or Customer Service role
  • Experience supervising, motivating or developing a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to service excellence
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to suggest and implement improvements
