Leisure Sales Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bespoke and leading organisation within the tourism, business and leisure industry, for a Leisure Sales Manager to join their team based in Belfast.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position
Working Hours: Typically, 9am-5.30pm (working across multiple venues).
With a salary of £40,351.20 per annum.
Job Purpose:
You will be the first point of contact for all travel trade and will work proactively with operators to drive sales to meet visitor number and revenue targets from key markets. You will be the face of selling and promoting the venue on both a domestic and international level, working closely with city tourism agencies and industry partners.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years Leisure business sales experience working to targets
- Strong knowledge of the tourism industry stakeholders and partners
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to lead and manage a small team
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Travel domestically, nationally and internationally as required
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of the leisure sales strategy to drive sales and meet KPIs and revenue targets
- Manage the delivery of proactive leisure sales plans across domestic, national and international markets to drive tour operator and ad-hoc group business
- Manage direct line reports in the leisure sales team on a day-to-day basis including HR and 1-2-1 meetings
- Assist in the effective management of the departmental budget for tradeshows and promotional activity
- Represent the team at internal and external meetings as required
- Work with the marketing & communications team to develop collateral that will be impactful and help drive new leisure enquiries and revenue
- Work with the Digital Content Executive to develop content that can be used on digital platforms targeting key markets
- Provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to the wider leisure sales team
- Work closely with the Groups Coordinator and operations team to ensure a seamless experience for all group guests
- Oversee the development and distribution of all contracts for travel trade and partners
- Assist in the creation of the annual business plan for the department. To contribute to departmental reporting as required
- Report on sales activity and sales forecasting at weekly/seasonal team planning meetings
- Represent the department at the company wide weekly Operations Meeting
- Regular liaison with representatives within Tourism and other industry trade and stakeholders
- Face-to-face presentations to Tour Group Operators, Coach & Cruise operators to generate and contract new business across all markets
- Manage and monitor volume-based pricing strategy for tour operators
- Capture and utilise customer feedback to help shape future products
- Monitor ticket sales and sales volume per group operator to identify opportunities or issues
- Represent the team at internal and external meetings as required
