We're recruiting Children's Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to children and young people across Warrington. In this rewarding role, you'll help young people overcome challenges, build independence, access their communities, and achieve goals that make a real difference to their lives.

The Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will provide tailored support through regular 4-6 hour shifts, helping children and young people engage with their local communities, develop life skills, and work towards personal goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs and aspirations
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
  • Promoting wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive outcomes
  • Supporting access to community activities, appointments, and local services
  • Building positive and professional relationships with children, young people, and their families
  • Following support plans and agreed goals
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures and care standards are maintained at all times

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in care, support work or a similar setting
  • Experience supporting children and young people
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
