The Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people to develop essential life skills, access their communities, and achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored support based on individual needs and support plans
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
  • Promoting wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive experiences
  • Supporting access to community activities, appointments, and local services
  • Building positive and professional relationships with children and their families
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
  • Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining high standards of care

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a care or support role
  • Experience supporting children and young people
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
