About the Role

We are currently recruiting a reliable and compassionate Delivery Driver on behalf of our client based in Romford, Essex. This temporary role involves delivering meals to elderly and vulnerable customers within the local community using a company-provided mini van.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, providing excellent customer service, and making a positive difference to people's daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company mini van to deliver meals to customers across designated routes.
• Ensure meals are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide a friendly and courteous service to elderly and vulnerable clients.
• Place delivered meals into customers' fridges or freezers when required.
• Follow all food handling, health and safety, and company procedures.
• Complete delivery records and any required paperwork accurately.
• Conduct basic daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the organisation positively at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence with no points or endorsements (Clean Licence).
• Standard Adult DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous driving or delivery experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Comfortable working independently and interacting with elderly customers.
• Physically able to lift and carry meal deliveries safely.
