Chemical Warehouse & Hazardous Materials Operative

Coleshill, Birmingham
£25,000 - £30,000 + Quarterly Bonus
Permanent | Monday to Friday

 

We are recruiting for a Chemical Warehouse & Hazardous Materials Operative to join a specialist international distribution business based in Coleshill.

 

This role would suit someone with experience handling chemicals, coatings, paints, lubricants, adhesives, hazardous materials, industrial products or regulated substances within a warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment.

 

This is not a standard warehouse role. You will be part of a specialist operation responsible for preparing and shipping products worldwide while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle, store and prepare hazardous and regulated products.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders.
  • Prepare products for UK and international shipment.
  • Carry out stock control and inventory activities.
  • Ensure products are packed and labelled correctly.
  • Maintain high standards of warehouse safety and housekeeping.
  • Work closely with logistics and export teams.

Experience Required

  • Warehouse, manufacturing or logistics experience.
  • Experience handling chemicals, hazardous products or regulated materials.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
  • Positive and reliable approach to work.

 

Desirable

  • Dangerous Goods training.
  • ADR, IATA or IMDG qualifications.
  • Counterbalance, Reach or Bendi licence.
  • Export packing experience.
  • Experience working with Safety Data Sheets (SDS/COSHH).
