We are seeking a temporary Accounts Assistant to support our client's finance team, for a period of six-weeks, during their annual audit process. This role is crucial for assisting auditors by retrieving, organising, and providing supporting documentation, primarily invoices and related records, for selected audit samples. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
Day-to-day of the role:
Retrieve and compile supporting documentation (primarily invoices) for audit sample testing.
Liaise with internal teams to obtain missing or incomplete documentation in a timely manner.
Organise and maintain a clear audit file structure for efficient document tracking.
Respond promptly to auditor requests and follow up on outstanding queries.
Cross-check invoices to accounting records to ensure completeness and accuracy of submissions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role.
Highly organised and proficient in Excel and finance systems.
Comfortable handling large volumes of data with accuracy and efficiency.
Prior exposure to audit processes or supporting year-end activities is advantageous.
