Reed Accountancy are pleased to be working with an innovative and forward-thinking business who are looking to welcome a Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper into their friendly and supportive team.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role at the heart of the finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, while also getting involved in wider finance activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintaining Sage 50 bookkeeping records
Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash
Processing foreign currency transactions
Managing the sales ledger, including:
Producing customer statements
Proactive credit control and chasing overdue payments
Setting up new accounts and reviewing credit applications
Processing credit card receipts
Supporting the purchase ledger, including:
Posting and checking invoices
Supplier statement reconciliations
Preparing payment runs
Posting monthly prepayments and accruals
Handling finance queries via email and phone
Supporting with cash flow, budgeting and general finance admin
About You
Previous experience in an account's role
Confident with credit control and managing aged debt
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
A clear and professional communicator
