We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join a busy specialist medical centre. About the Role
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, their families, and referring medical practices. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient client journey while maintaining a welcoming and supportive front-of-house environment.
You will work closely with colleagues across the practice to support patient care through excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Meet and greet patients and their guardians, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
Manage incoming calls, handle enquiries, and direct messages as appropriate.
Book and coordinate appointments.
Process incoming emails and manage correspondence.
Maintain and update patient records accurately.
Handle payments and carry out cash handling duties.
Scan and upload documents to patient records.
Liaise with referring medical practices and other centres.
Maintain the reception area to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
Support administrative processes including post and database updates.
Assist with additional duties to support the wider team as required.
About You

Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
Experience working face to face and over the phone with customers or clients.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisation and time management.
Good basic IT skills and attention to detail.

A professional and positive approach at all times.
Desirable
Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment.
Experience using databases or patient record systems.
Cash handling experience.
