The Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers and leadership staff to provide high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Delivering planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher
Supporting pupils across a range of year groups and abilities
Working with individuals and small groups to boost attainment and confidence
Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
Promoting positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
Monitoring and recording pupil progress
Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold HLTA status or relevant experience
Have previous experience working within a primary or secondary school setting
Be confident leading groups and covering lessons
Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning
