Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). The successful candidate will bring strong EYFS expertise, a commitment to outstanding early years provision, and the ability to inspire young children through engaging and creative teaching.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework
Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment that supports all children’s development
Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, using this to inform planning and next steps
Promote a culture of collaborative learning and holistic development
Work closely with support staff to ensure effective provision for all learners, including those with SEND
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, supporting home–school learning
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral care
Support a curriculum that values outdoor learning and play-based approaches
Person Specification
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Significant experience within EYFS / nursery settings
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
Ability to deliver engaging, child-centred learning
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable
Experience within a maintained nursery environment
Knowledge of inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
Experience delivering outdoor or nature-based learning
