Job Type: Full-time, 4 on 4 off night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Join our client in a pivotal role as a Warehouse Supervisor. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse functions during night shifts. You will be responsible for supervising a diverse range of warehouse operations, maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Day-to-day of the role:
Supervise and control the warehouse operation including areas such as air, ocean, road, perishable, and healthcare logistics.
Maintain performance and operational standards, ensuring all activities comply with SOPs.
Manage the loading, unloading, and dispatching of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Complete necessary paperwork for inbound/outbound activities and ensure proper documentation is handled.
Conduct daily team briefings, communicating company information and operational updates.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditure to ensure financial targets are met.
Implement and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
Lead, manage, and develop your team, providing training and performance evaluations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educated to at least GCSE level in Maths and English, grades A-C.
Highly competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Full FLT licence (counterbalance).
Strong knowledge of warehouse systems specific to freight forwarding/logistics.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
