EUC Engineer

End User Computing Support Specialist Trading Floor

We are seeking an End User Computing Support Specialist to join our Global Investment Banks Information Systems team. This role is crucial for supporting all End User Computing (EUC) and Dealing Room Support (DRS) platforms across our London branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of IT support tasks, particularly within our trading floor environment, and will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our technology infrastructure.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide support for EUC and market data platforms.
• Participate in EUC projects and initiatives, particularly those impacting the Dealing Room Support user base.
• First-line support for IPC Turrets, including building, deploying, and maintaining EUC hardware and systems.
• Analyse and diagnose service incidents and performance issues related to EUC.
• Manage and deliver on EUC service requests, including moving IT equipment and conducting BCP tests and power-downs.
• Stay updated with EUC and market data technology to advise users effectively and maintain regulatory controls.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks, deployments, and system configurations.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance support capabilities and reduce incident resolution times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT desktop support, preferably on a trading floor.
• Strong knowledge of EUC technologies and market data platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation.
• Experience with AI and machine learning tools is highly advantageous.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to advise and interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Special Role Requirements:

• Availability for 24/7 contact and reasonable cover for weekend working during project periods.
