Finance Business Partner

Reed Finance is currently working with a well-established organisation based in Middlesbrough who are seeking a commercially focused Finance Business Partner. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, influencing key business decisions, and driving financial performance through insightful analysis and strategic support.

As a trusted partner to site leadership, you will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to shape the future success of the business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance contact and trusted business partner for site management, providing key financial metrics, analysis, and commercial insight.
• Develop strong working relationships with operational stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
• Provide financial expertise and guidance on new business initiatives, capital investments, and projects.
• Promote financial awareness across the business, ensuring cost and revenue impacts are understood at all levels.
• Lead the month-end process, delivering detailed variance analysis and actionable insights to key stakeholders.
• Present monthly financial results to senior management and operational teams, helping drive an understanding of business performance and profitability.
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans, including relevant KPI reporting.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with company procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting capabilities.
• Support year-end audit activities, providing comprehensive explanations and documentation to external auditors.
• Potentially manage and develop a Finance Analyst, supporting their professional growth and performance.
