Essential Knowledge & Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in debt recovery negotiation. Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Sound understanding of customer service principles in a diverse environment. Knowledge of debt recovery and enforcement processes, including experience with County Court and/or Magistrates’ Court procedures. Proven experience working in a Local Authority debt recovery role, specifically handling Council Tax arrears (essential). Requirements Previous hands-on experience in Council Tax recovery within a Local Authority is essential. Familiarity with systems such as NEC and/or Oracle Advanced Collections is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to pass a Basic DBS check.
