Before we dive into the course units, you’ll complete an induction to help you prepare for the programme and get the most out of your learning. This will involve:

There are no formal entry requirement for this AAT Level 3 qualification, however for the best chance at success om this course and in your career you’ll need to have a good standard of English and maths.

As an accountant you’ll work at the very heart of your organisation, where the ability to communicate important information clearly is an essential part of the role.

Ideally, learners should have completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping before applying to do this course.

Improve your study skills

Study skills are often overlooked when it comes to studying for a AAT qualification but they’re essential if you want to do well. That’s why we’ve created brand new study skills webinars to help you enhance your critical analysis skills, write and communicate better and of course study more effectively. Available 24/7, you can watch these webinars anytime anywhere and on any device.

Students must successfully complete the two mandatory unit assessments to achieve this qualification. These are normally completed at the end of each unit topic. All assessments in this qualification:

• are set and marked by AAT

• are computer based

• are time-limited (each exam lasts for 90-150 minutes on this qualification)

• are scheduled by training providers or assessment venues

• take place at approved training providers and assessment venues under controlled conditions.

Availability of assessments

Unit assessments are available on demand throughout the year, except during periods set and communicated by AAT.

Results for wholly computer marked assessments are made available via MyAAT within 24 hours of submitting the assessment. Results from assessments with written elements require human marking and verification and can take up to 6 weeks. Students will be advised on what percentage of the marks available they achieved in their assessments.
