Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
(1-hour lunch break or 30-minute lunch plus two 15-minute breaks)

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business specialising in the sourcing, processing, and preservation of seafood products. Operating within a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational excellence.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a fast-paced food manufacturing and distribution environment in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with warehouse experience and a valid FLT licence who is passionate about maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and team performance. 

The role involves working within a chilled environment alongside seafood product, ensuring customer orders are picked, dispatched, and delivered to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation that plays a key role in supplying fresh seafood products to some of the region's leading supermarket brands.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence
  • Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a food manufacturing, distribution, or FMCG environment
  • Experience leading or supervising warehouse teams
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a chilled/cold room environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and organise a warehouse team to achieve daily picking and dispatch targets.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

- Warehouse Operations

  • Ensure products are picked and dispatched accurately while meeting quality and customer requirements.
  • Monitor picking performance, productivity, and dispatch schedules.

- Health, Safety & Food Hygiene

  • Promote a safe working culture across the warehouse operation.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and authorised to use equipment safely.

- Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all quality procedures and food safety standards are followed.
  • Complete and monitor temperature records and related documentation.

- Inventory & Equipment Control

  • Manage warehouse equipment and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct stock checks and report discrepancies.

- Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Support operational improvement initiatives and projects.
