Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and organised Postroom Operative to provide temporary cover for a two-week period from 16 July to 31 July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of postroom operations, supporting colleagues with mail and parcel distribution, and assisting with reception and event setup activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and process incoming deliveries.
• Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing post.
• Manage the distribution of parcels across the office.
• Contact colleagues when post or parcels are ready for collection.
• Respond to and resolve client and colleague enquiries relating to mail and deliveries.
• Organise courier collections and deliveries using an online booking portal.
• Assist with reception duties when required.
• Support meeting room setups and event preparations.
• Ensure postroom areas remain organised, tidy, and compliant with health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience in a postroom, mailroom, facilities, reception, or office support role is desirable.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and online systems/portals.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.
• Able to undertake manual handling duties associated with moving mail and parcels.
