An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Senior to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Chelmsford.
This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys managing client relationships, delivering exceptional service and working across a varied portfolio of clients within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met and delivering a high standard of service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of tax clients and acting as a key point of contact.
- Preparing tax returns in accordance with firm procedures.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately, on time and within budget.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Ensuring all legal and statutory compliance requirements are met.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Identifying opportunities to add value and support client growth.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- ATT qualification.
- At least 3-5 years' tax experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
- Strong personal and/or corporate tax knowledge.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service.
- Experience using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
