Finance Manager

Reed Finance are partnered exclusively with a repeat client to hire a new Finance Manager to join a privately owned group of businesses. Offering a highly flexible working environment with the ability to work predominantly from home, the role provides responsibility across several entities that, whilst operating within a wider group structure, have retained their own identity and ways of working.

Reporting into the CFO you will support multiple businesses across the group, partnering closely with Managing Directors and overseeing the bookkeeping and accounts administration support in place. This is a broad role that combines day-to-day financial management with the opportunity to influence and support a range of businesses. It would suit someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working autonomously and takes a practical, hands-on approach to finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
• Production of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
• Liaison with external auditors and advisers
• Cashflow reporting, forecasting and oversight
• VAT returns and compliance activities
• Payroll oversight
• Supporting Managing Directors with financial reporting and analysis
• Overseeing bookkeeping and accounts administration activities across the group
• Maintaining robust financial controls, processes and reporting standards

About You

• Previous experience in a broad SME finance role
• Strong financial and management accounting experience
• Comfortable supporting multiple businesses and stakeholders
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience with cashflow management, VAT and payroll processes
• A proactive and hands-on approach
• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or experienced QBE
• Experience of Xero and/or Sage Line 50 would be advantageous
