We are seeking an experienced Attendance Officer for an immediate start in an educational setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and managing student attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:
Monitor student attendance and punctuality using the school's database systems.
Work closely with students, parents, and staff to address attendance issues.
Prepare reports and statistics on attendance for school management.
Implement strategies to improve attendance and reduce absenteeism.
Liaise with external agencies where necessary to support students with attendance difficulties.
Handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with data protection laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Attendance Officer or similar role within an educational environment.
Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using school database systems and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of attendance-related policies and legal guidelines.
