Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree or equivalent relevant experience in Internal Audit. Relevant professional qualification (CCAB qualified accountant or CMIIA) / or part-qualified. Practical experience in a similar role, ideally within a public sector organisation. Experience in continuous service improvement with a strong enthusiasm for improving service delivery. Proven ability to advise and negotiate with a cross-section of internal and external stakeholders. Experience handling highly confidential, sensitive data and information. Proficiency in using and developing a wide range of computerised information systems. Knowledge of national and local government policies and agendas, particularly in children’s services and safeguarding. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages.
