Reed HR are working alongside a large Not for Profit Organisation based in Central London who are recruiting for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to focus heavily on Employee Relations.
This role is permanent and is also hybrid so flexibility is offered.
Job Summary
The Advisor will play a key role in delivering effective HR support across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a trusted partner to managers and staff, this role will provide expert advice on a range of HR matters, manage day-to-day operations, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and act as a key contact for day-to-day HR queries.
• Oversee and manage responses to queries received through the shared P&C inbox, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to established service standards.
• Assist with the implementation of HR initiatives and projects, including policy updates and process improvements.
• Lead on the review, drafting, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with evolving legislation, best practice, and organisational requirements.
• Work closely with managers to plan, lead, and support formal and informal employee meetings, including flexible working requests and wellbeing discussions, ensuring outcomes are managed consistently and appropriately.
• Provide guidance and coaching to line managers to build capability in handling day-to-day HR issues and employee relations matters effectively.
Employee relations:
• Act as the lead HR contact for employee relations matters, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, employment legislation, and best practice.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end management of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, probation, absence management, flexible working requests, and workplace investigations, ensuring matters are handled consistently, fairly, and in line with policy and legislation.
• Prepare and maintain employee relations documentation, correspondence, reports, and case records, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal and organisational requirements.
• Coach and support managers to effectively manage employee relations matters, promoting best practice, early intervention, and consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Lead welfare meetings and support managers with long-term sickness absence, occupational health referrals, reasonable adjustments, and employee wellbeing matters.
• Identify employee relations trends and risks, providing recommendations to improve people management practices, mitigate organisational risk, and enhance the employee experience.
