PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

£40,000- £45,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

WEST LONDON

PERMANENT FULL TIME ROLE

I am currently working with a great organisation to recruit an experienced Payroller to deliver an accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll service for over 300 employees, using Moorepay Payroll Software. The role is responsible for end-to-end payroll administration, statutory payments, payroll records, and compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies. This role is initially fully office-based, with hybrid working available upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration & Processing

  • Process monthly payroll using Moorepay for 300+ employees across multiple business functions
  • Maintain payroll records, including new starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, bonuses, holiday pay, statutory payments, and deductions.
  • Review payroll information with HR, cross-checking hours worked, attendance, absence, and holiday entitlement records.
  • Run and analyse system reports to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Calculate and verify SSP, SMP, Company Sick Pay, holiday accruals, overtime payments, and other employee benefits.
  • Process RTI submissions and manage payroll-related correspondence with HMRC.
  • Ensure all payroll payments are processed accurately, on time, and in line with payroll legislation.

 

Employee Support & Compliance

  • Respond to employee payroll queries and provide guidance on payroll matters and statutory entitlements.
  • Prepare payroll-related correspondence, including SSP, SMP, overpayment and deduction notifications.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and personnel records in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Keep records of sickness, annual leave, unpaid leave, and employment changes, ensuring payroll systems remain up to date.
  • Support payroll audits and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

 

Year-End Activities

  • Manage year-end payroll processes and statutory submissions.
  • Produce and distribute P60s and complete all year-end reporting requirements within deadlines.

 

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll administration.
  • Experience using Moorepay payroll software.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, RTI submissions, SSP, and SMP.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records in line with GDPR
