Legal Secretary/Personal Assistant

  • Location: Canary Wharf, London
  • Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Start Date: From June 15th

The Role

You will provide first-class professional support to a Partner and other fee earners. This role demands excellent organisational skills and a passion for accuracy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the partners.
  • Providing high-quality administrative and support services.
  • Managing extensive telephone coverage confidently.
  • Effectively managing electronic diaries and coordinating with internal and external clients.
  • Organising a wide range of meetings, both virtual and in-person.
  • Preparing documents and materials for meetings.
  • Liaising with clients and managing routine administration tasks.
  • Handling digital dictation, typing correspondence, raising bills, and invoicing.
  • Organising and maintaining effective filing systems, processing expenses.
  • Assisting with litigation and preparing hearing bundles.
  • Preparing PowerPoint slides and marketing materials for events.
  • General office duties including photocopying, arranging couriers, and ordering stationery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English with good grades (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Legal Secretarial qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary/PA, or similar.
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and team working skills, with a confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Positive attitude with a 'can do' approach, ready to assist wherever needed.
