We are currently partnering with a Local Authority to appoint an experienced Locum Contracts Lawyer to join their well-regarded Corporate & Commercial Legal Team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad, high-impact role, supporting key stakeholders across the organisation and contributing to important commercial and governance initiatives.

The Role

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, pragmatic legal advice across a wide range of commercial matters. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts and agreements
  • Advising on procurement-related matters, partnership arrangements and service level agreements
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with risk management, governance and compliance
  • Ensuring the Council’s legal position is robustly protected across all commercial activity
  • Managing a varied caseload independently, with minimal supervision
