Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Accountant (ACCA/FCCA) to take ownership of financial control and reporting, with proficiency in accounting software. The role will involve M&A due diligence including the preparation and submission of completion accounts under the terms of an SPA. This individual will play a key role in improving performance and supporting decision-making across a fast-growing Family Office.
This is a broad, high-impact role with clear scope to grow, working closely with the Director and COO, influencing commercial insight, managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support the business scale.
Responsibilities
Prepare, maintain and submit accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
Manage taxation, strategy and advise on efficient working practices
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage for efficient financial management.
Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development in accounting practices.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with other senior leaders to provide financial insights (conducting PESTEL analyses) and looking at unitary economics to drive strategic decision-making for sales, marketing, operations and future growth.
Requirements
15 years experience
ACCA or FCCA qualified
PI Insurance
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft) is essential.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
