We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team in London. This mid-level position reports to the FP&A Manager and plays a crucial role in providing high-quality annual business planning, forecasting, and period-end reporting within a defined business area. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, supporting strategic decisions, challenging assumptions, and driving efficiencies across the business.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Produce and maintain accurate forecasts and business plans aligned to annual budget targets.
  • Prepare periodic journals with a strong audit trail and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Deliver clear financial review packs highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Present insights in financial review meetings to support effective decision-making.
  • Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders to drive efficiencies and cost control.
  • Build strong working relationships to support the delivery of strategic and operational objectives.
  • Identify and support cost-saving initiatives and track performance improvements.
  • Support audit processes and respond to finance-related queries.
  • Provide financial input and governance across key processes such as procurement and projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professionally qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Strong management accounting knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with finance systems such as ERP systems, Excel, Power BI/Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Clear communication of financial concepts to non-finance audiences.
  • Problem-solving mindset with proactive identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Experience in a Finance Business Partnering role, preferably in industries like infrastructure, transport, or similar regulated environments.
