Salary: £30 to £45 per hour (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in Levels 1, 2, and 3 Electrical Installation courses. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the electrical industry and a passion for teaching and developing future professionals.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and informative lectures on Electrical Installation for Levels 1, 2, and 3.
Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials based on the curriculum requirements.
Assess and evaluate students’ progress through both practical and theoretical assessments.
Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
Stay updated with the latest industry standards and teaching methodologies.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the courses offered.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, EAL) (NVQ Diploma or equivalent).
AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2) – widely expected as proof of occupational competence.
City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g., 2391).
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a related field.
Willingness to gain (or already hold) a teaching qualification.
CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) is desirable.
