Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure customers settle outstanding accounts within agreed terms to maximise cashflow
Carry out aged debt analysis, identifying risks, payment trends, and supporting cashflow forecasting
Produce regular reports for management and wider business stakeholders
Manage customer queries from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Investigate and resolve non-payment issues, collaborating cross-functionally to achieve outcomes
Take ownership of customer account setup, including credit checks and accurate data entry
Support the team by covering responsibilities during absences and contributing to a collaborative working environment
Adapt to changing business needs and support ongoing transformation initiatives
Assist with the migration of legacy systems to a new ERP platform
Build strong relationships with customers, including periodic face-to-face meetings
Support audit processes and contribute to continuous improvement projects within credit control
Undertake regular reviews with internal stakeholders to maintain strong account management
About You:
Proven experience within credit control and debt collection
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator with strong customer service skills across phone and email
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
