As the new Tax Accountant, your duties and responsibilities will include : Managing your own client base Preparing and submitting self assessment tax returns for a portfolio of individuals, sole traders and Company Directors. Accurately calculate income tax, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and National Insurance liabilities Review client financial information including employment income (P60s, P11Ds), dividend income, investment income. Provide guidance to clients on personal tax planning opportunities, including tax-efficient use of allowances and reliefs, pension contributions and capital gains planning. Assisting in the roll out of making tax digital for sole traders. To be considered for the role of Tax Accountant at our client, your experience, skillsets and experience will include. Proven experience of working within a UK based accountancy practice. Previous experience of preparing and signing off high volumes of personal tax returns. Qualified or part qualified ATT or CTA is preferred, but would consider the right person qualified through experience or ACCA/ICA qualified/part qualified. Previous experience of using relevant tax/accounting software preferred, but our client will provide training and development if needed. The current Finance Director is planning to step into a part-time role over the next 12 months so this role has been created with succession in mind. You’ll work closely with them from day one, getting full exposure to the business while gradually stepping up into the position.
